Starters

New season asparagus with soft polenta, Wylam duck egg and home-cured Hedley air dried ham, black olive tapenade 8

Creamed morels on toast. 10 V

Catalan style rabbit broth with chorizo, chickpeas and Northumbrian smoked bacon, sourdough bread and our butter 6.50

Our own black pudding, poached egg, devilled gravy 7/14 as a main.

Whipped feta on toast with Yorkshire tomatoes, red onions and roasted peppers 6.50 V (vg with no feta)

Dill cured Scottish Sea trout, pickled cucumber, sweet mustard dressing and oatmeal pikelets. 7

Mains

Grilled filet of North Sea hake, braised baby gem, broad beans and peas, minted new potatoes 15

Roast haunch of local roe deer with a little offal kebab, morels, asparagus and pink firs potatoes, roasting juices vinaigrette 18

Beer battered North Sea fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. 13

Spiced roast cauliflower with roast tomato sauce, pistachios, herb and dried fruit spelt 13 Vg

Provençal style braised ox cheek in red wine with puy lentils, green herb sauce and burnt leeks 14

Braised shank of Hexhamshire lamb with sprouting broccoli, greens and creamy mash, herb jelly 17
