Menus Lunch, Dinner and Sunday

“If you eat at only one place in Northumberland, make it here” — Jamie Oliver Magazine Find out more about our pub …

We are a small family run pub with a big heart.

Honest food. Thoughtfully made.
Always rooted in place and season.

We have three snug areas each with a wood burning stove. We have a large covered and sheltered outside yard which is open from Easter till September. We are family friendly and dogs are  welcome in the bar and outside spaces too.

Booking on line here is easy and always shows the latest availability.

We close the first two weeks in January annually. In 2026 we reopen on the 15th January and resume normal opening times.

Opening times:

Thursday – Friday 12:00pm – 11:00pm

Saturday 10am – 11pm

Sunday 12:00pm till 7:00pm

Restaurant Reservation Times:

Thursday to Saturday 12 – 2pm & 6 – 8.30pm. Sunday 12 – 4.30pm.

Restaurant: At The Feathers Inn, our food begins with where we are.

We work closely with local growers, farmers, and foragers — people who know this landscape as well as we do. From heritage-breed meats to wild greens, everything we serve reflects the rhythms of the Northumbrian countryside and the integrity of the people who produce it. Fresh, sustainable, and crafted with care.

No shortcuts, just honest cooking that celebrates the flavours of the land. It’s not about fuss. It’s about flavour, and a deep belief in doing things properly.

Bakery: Saturday Mornings from 10 am till 12 noon. At first light each Saturday the scent of rising dough, brown sugar, and melting butter fills the air as trays of sweet buns, flakey pies, and seasonal bakes are pulled from the ovens — each made by hand, the way it’s always been.

The Feathers Bakehouse isn’t open long. Just one morning a week. But it’s enough.
Enough to slow the day, to bring the village together — and to remind us that the best things are often the simplest. One day a week. Worth the wait.
